Dr. Cherry C. Uy is a board-certified UCI Health neonatologist who specializes in neonatal and perinatal medicine and the care of critically ill newborns and premature infants.

Uy is the medical director of the UCI Health Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at UCI Medical Center. Her clinical interests include neonatal infection, brain and whole body cooling and newborn respiratory diseases.

She earned her medical degree from the Far Eastern University – Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation in Quezon City, the Philippines. She completed a residency in pediatrics at the former  University of Medicine & Dentistry New Jersey in Newark, followed by fellowship training in neonatology at UCI Medical Center and the UCI School of Medicine.

Her research interests include neonatal and perinatal outcomes.

Uy, who speaks Chinese and Tagalog, sees patients at UCI Medical Center in Orange.
