Anti-Cancer Challenge to raise funds for research
Proceeds to fund lifesaving research at the UCI Health Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center

The Anti-Cancer Challenge Cycle and Run for Cures will benefit lifesaving research at the UCI Health Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. The inaugural event weekend will take place June 10 and 11, 2017 at the Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif.
The event will bring together individuals and teams representing community groups, friends, families and companies for one common goal- to end cancer. The event weekend will begin Saturday, June 10, 2017 with a free Anti-Cancer Challenge Festival including live entertainment, a children’s ride, stationary bike event, food from local vendors, craft beer and exhibits. Sunday, June 11, 2017, will feature a cycling ride and run with a finish-line festival.
Event proceeds will go directly to lifesaving cancer research at the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. Proceeds from the CHOC Children’s ride will go directly to cancer research at our pediatric affiliate, Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC).
Cancer is more than 100 different diseases and UCI Health specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancer in all its forms. The Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center is one of only 48 National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the United States.

Pre-race rallies
The Anti-Cancer Challenge will host two rally events. Rally events are free and open to the public to learn more about the Anti-Cancer Challenge Event, but registration is required. The first event will be held March 4 at 11 a.m. at Full Psycle Studio at The Shops at Mission Viejo, Calif. Space is limited to participate in the stationary bike/spin event.
The second rally event will be on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 7 a.m. at The Cyclist in Costa Mesa, Calif. A complimentary breakfast will be provided. Cyclists can enter to win a beach cruiser bike, attend a bike safety clinic, and enjoy a training ride hosted by The Cyclist. Run/Walk participants can enter to win runner swag and attend a run hosted by Road Runner Sports.
