You're invited to join Dr. Elham Arghami, UCI Health board-certified family medicine and geriatric medicine physician, for a virtual lecture, "Common Skin Conditions in the Elderly." Arghami will discuss the changes that occur with aging in the skin. As people age, their chances of development skin-related disorders increase. How skin ages depends on several factors, including lifestyle, diet, heredity and other personal habits such as smoking and sun exposure, and she will address common skin conditions, treatment and prevention.
Arghami's clinical interests include polypharmacy, pressure ulcers and chronic wound care and memory impairment. She sees patients at the UCI Health SeniorHealth Center in Orange and UCI Health — Laguna Hills.
