The spine experts at UCI Health Comprehensive Spine offer a research study that evaluates the role second opinions play in the decision to have spine surgery. This study allows individuals to seek a second opinion for spine surgery at UCI Health, at no cost, for those that meet the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility criteria include:

• Must have received a first opinion from another spine surgeon
• Willing to complete surveys on the effects of the second opinion they receive
