MyChart Support

Please note: We are experiencing higher-than-usual call and request volumes.

UCI Health recently introduced an updated version of MyChart and our medical record to support a more seamless care experience. As we complete this transition, some requests may take longer than usual to process. Our teams are actively reviewing requests and working to assist patients as quickly and carefully as possible.

Thank you for your patience.

UCI Health has upgraded to a new version of MyChart. During this transition, you may notice changes in how you view your information, send messages, and access older records and bills.

Most issues can be resolved by making sure you are logged into the correct version of MyChart.

For all information related to care after Dec. 6, 2025, access to patient messaging, and to schedule appointments visit the MyChart - Login Page.

1. Why can't I find older records, messages, bills or test results?

The information you're looking for may be in the wrong version of MyChart.

What to do:

Note: If you are unable to refill medications, schedule appointments, or send messages, you may be logged into the archived version. Please log out completely and sign in to the new MyChart.

What happened to my data?

Most of your data about care at UCI Health has moved to our new electronic medical record and is available on MyChart. This includes up to three years of past visits, test results, and MyChart messages. The security and accessibility of your health information continue to be a top priority at UCI Health.

If you are unable to find certain information in the new MyChart, you may be able to access older records through my-archive.ucihealth.org.

If you were a UCI Health patient using Cerner or Athena between March 2024 and February 2026, some information may still be available through the My Health Rec or Athena patient portals.

I still can’t find what I’m looking for...

Your medical information remains secure and protected.

All information about your care at UCI Health is requestable. You can request a copy of your full medical record at any time via health information request. Learn more about the process on our Medical Records page.

2. Why can't I send a message to my provider?

Messaging was temporarily read-only during the migration. As of Dec. 6, 2025, messaging is fully restored in the new MyChart

Important:

  • Older message threads from Dec. 6, 2025, are view-only.
  • To contact your clinician, you must start a new message in the new MyChart.

What to do:

  • For non-urgent questions, send a new message in the new MyChart.
  • For urgent needs related to your care, call your clinic directly.
  • In an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

3. How do I add UCI Health and UCI Health Archive in the MyChart mobile app?

If you don't see the UCI Health or UCI Health Archive in your MyChart app, you may need to add them as organizations.

What to do:

  1. Open the MyChart app on your phone.
  2. Tap "Switch Organization" or "Add Organization" (wording may vary).
  3. In the search box, type "uci health."
  4. Select UCI Health and/or UCI Health Archive from the list.
  5. Sign in using your MyChart username and password.

Once added, you can easily switch between the new UCI Health and UCI Health Archive inside the app.

4. Where are my linked MyChart accounts?

If you had MyChart and health information accounts from other health organizations linked to your UCI Health MyChart account via Happy Together, please re-link them in the new MyChart. You can also link your UCI Health Archive MyChart account

To link an account:

  1. Once you log into the UCI Health MyChart, open your menu and select, "Link My Accounts."
  2. Choose the MyChart accounts you'd like to connect under, "Visited Organizations" on the Discover tab.
  3. Prior care at UCI Health may be shown on UCI Health Archive or UC Health (UC San Diego/UCSD and UC Riverside/UCR) and Affiliates.

View a video from Epic on linking MyChart accounts via desktop or the MyChart app

5. How do I regain proxy access if I'm not a UCI Health patient?

If you use MyChart only to manage another person's account and are not a UCI Health patient, your current login most likely did not transfer to the new MyChart system.

What to do:

To continue managing your loved one's health information, please compete the steps below:

  1. Contact the patient's clinic.
Clinic staff will verify your information and begin the proxy setup process. If you are not provided an activation code, please request a MyChart activation code so you can create your new account.
  2. Create your new MyChart account
Use your activation code to set up your new login.
  3. Confirm proxy access.
After proxy access is approved, you will be able to sign in and view your loved one's health information in the upgraded MyChart.
