UCI Health celebrates state-of-the-art Outpatient Imaging Center with ribbon-cutting ceremony

The UCI Health Outpatient Imaging Center was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. It officially opens its doors later this month.
Orange, Calif. — UCI Health marked a milestone in the opening of a state-of-the-art Outpatient Imaging Center at UCI Medical Center in Orange with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
When the center opens its doors to patients later this month, it will mark a leap forward in the mission of UCI Health to deliver leading-edge diagnostic services to the entire community.
The new 19,000-square-foot, two-story Outpatient Imaging Center is equipped with the latest imaging technologies on the first floor while the second floor houses a dedicated breast health clinic, providing specialized services such as mammography, breast ultrasound and bone density screening. This facility is designed to offer streamlined care in a welcoming environment.
Nathan Shinagawa, UCI Health chief operating officer and senior vice president, expressed his excitement about the new facility.
"Today is a momentous occasion as we celebrate not just the opening of a new building, but a significant leap forward in our ability to provide exceptional care and cutting-edge diagnostic services to our community," said Shinagawa.
"This center represents our commitment to innovation and excellence in patient care, ensuring we meet the highest standards."
Advanced capabilities
The facility's first floor is equipped with state-of-the-art imaging technologies that will provide comprehensive diagnostic capabilities, ensuring precise and timely diagnoses for our patients. The advanced equipment includes X-ray, MRI, ultrasound, CT, PET/CT and SPECT/CT, enabling UCI Health to offer the most comprehensive imaging services in the region.
Focus on breast health
The second floor features a dedicated breast health clinic, offering specialized services including mammography, breast ultrasound and bone density screening. This clinic is designed to provide unparalleled diagnostic and treatment services, with advanced imaging technology including automated breast ultrasound and mammography-guided biopsy systems.
The multidisciplinary approach integrates a team of surgeons, oncologists and imaging experts to deliver personalized care for patients.
Looking ahead
The Outpatient Imaging Center is set to open its doors to patients later this month, ushering in a new era of diagnostic excellence and patient-centric care.
