Patient Experience Program

Program summary

The department of Patient Experience enhances patient-centered care. Volunteers take on a wide variety of tasks during their time with Volunteer Services.

This program is an academic and professional experience to assist in learning goals and objectives with measurable outcomes. These learning goals and objectives may include career, skill and personal development.

The program consists of communicating with nursing and administrative staff, patients and completing numerous tasks around the medical campus. We give volunteers a multitude of opportunity in assisting with projects and assignments and implement new ideas to enhance the patient experience.
 
Note: This is not a clinical volunteer position. We do not allow transferring to specialty departments to shadow.

Program requirements

• Must complete all forms, background check, general onboarding, and on-site orientation
• Must be 18 years of age and a current college student
• Great communication skills and empathetic towards others
• Must commit to a minimum of four hours per week
