Pet Therapy

Research shows therapy dogs can support both physical and emotional well-being. At the UCI Health Pet Therapy Program, trained volunteer dogs and handlers bring comfort and connection to patients, visitors, and coworkers across the medical center.

Therapy dog visits can help:

  • Reduce stress and anxiety
  • Encourage connection and positive interaction
  • Brighten the day for patients and healthcare teams
  • Create moments of comfort, calm and joy
  • Support overall well-being and morale

Interested in a visit? Let your care team know if you would like a visit from our Pet Therapy team.
